The volcanic El Pico de Orizaba also known by the native name of Citlalt\u00e9petl is the third highest mountain in North America at 18,490\u00a0feet (5,636\u00a0meters).<\/p>\n<p>This and other Mexican mountains have permanent glaciers that attract ski mountaneers in search of spectacular scenery and unmatched vertical descent.<\/p>\n<p>The only Mexican ski and snowboard resort is <a title=\"Skiing in Mexico\" href=\"http:\/\/www.monterreal.com\" target=\"_blank\">Monterrey<\/a> in the state of Cohauila.
